At Crafty Lion Productions, we aim to maintain a certain level of professionalism in all the work we produce. For us to achieve this, we need to be convinced that our members are to be able to live up to that expectation in all their audio performances - whether it be paid work or otherwise.

As a result, all prospective members to the site will need to have their registration approved by the official team before joining our talent pool. Once you have filled the registration form, you will receive an email, asking you to contact the site's founder to book a time and date for an interview/audition. All interstate and overseas members will have the benefit of sending their work samples via email only or in a video link. This option is also available to South Australian members should they choose to use it. For now, we do not accept show reels via post.

Please note that all conversion of audio files are the prerogative of the actor and not the production house.

If successful, you will then receive an email of approval to join the talent pool and the option of paying the membership fee.

Exception: If you have worked with either of the official team before and we are convinced that your skills will live up to the expectation of our professional standard, you will be granted approval without the need for audition/interview.

Band and Music Promotion
All bands and musicians wanting to join the site will be need to be accessed to ensure that your skills are to the professional expectation of the company. Unlike actors and crew members, you are not required to attend an audition or interview but will be required to send us an audio sample of your work. It will then be accessed by our sound engineer, Paul McLean, who will then decide your membership status.

In addition, you will also be required to pay a promotional services fee of $20 a year and a 10% commission will be taken from each track you sell in our e-shore.

In order to fund certain projects and cover payment to members, there is the option of paying a membership fee for those willing to contribute. There are two groups of members for consideration:

Free membership

• placed on the mailing list for general updates on the production group and upcoming projects.
• unpaid auditions/work only. You will be given notice of any paid-work that arise but will not be paid for the work until the membership has been paid to us.

All actors will be paid once each episode of audio series and each separate audio play has been recorded.

N.B:  Each session refers to one recording day.

Show Reels

The following table shows the pay rates for show reels requested by talent pool actors only.

Sound recordists – All sound recordists will be paid once each episode of audio series and each separate audio play has been recorded. Payment = $45 for each recording day.

Show reel payments: Pleaser refer to the Actors tab for pay rates. Crafty Lion Productions will take 10% commission from the overall payment.

Musicians and Bands – The works of all musicians and bands will then be placed on our e-store for individual purchase. Crafty Lion Productions will take 10% commission from each composition. The online retail price for all music compositions will be the prerogative of the composer and band representative.

Sound Editors – All sound editors will be paid $20 for each session.

Sound Designers – Each soundscape will be placed on our e-store for individual purchase. Crafty Lion Productions will take 10% commission from each soundscape. The online retail price for all soundscapes will be the prerogative of the sound designers.

Other crew - Occasionally, we employ film crew members to help us enhance any audio projects we produce. All crew will be paid once each episode of audio series and each separate audio play has been filmed. Payment = $45 for each filming day.
